Having a family and kids usually means you will need a larger vehicle, such as a 7 seater.  If you’re a lover of powerful luxury cars, then back in the days it would mean that you’ll probably have to make the sacrifice of giving up your luxury car to go for a boring 7 seater.  But luckily as 7 seater family cars have evolved, manufacturers have added power and luxury to the 7 seater vehicle categories.  Below I’ve listed five of my favourite luxury family 7 seater cars.

5 – Mercedes Viano

The Mercedes Viano, it’s actually been around the longest out the 5 cars I’ve chosen.  To be honest it’s definitely not one of my favourites, due to the fact it looks like a van.  But none the less it comes with a lot of gadgets and is extremely comfortable to drive and be a passenger in.  The Viano’s prices start from just under £26,000.  They come in a 3.0 or 3.5 litre V6 Engine and have some excellent top speeds of 122mph and 126mph.  The Viano comes with leather seats and you can have the optional extras of DVD player, rain sensor and electronic sliding doors.  It also comes standard with re-arrangeble seats and large folded table with lift-and-deploy function.

4 – Mercedes GL-Class

If you’re looking for a bit more power and ruggedness, the Mercedes GL is an excellent choice, although definitely not the cheapest.  Prices for the GL start from just under £55,000. In addition to what the Mercedes Viano comes with the GL-Class is a 4×4 vehicle and perfect for off road driving for when you go camping with the family maybe.  The GL has a V8 engine which can take this chunk of metal 0-60 mph in an amazing 6.5 seconds.

3 – Audi Q7

Audi Q7 Aberdeen dealership is where I went to check out the Q7 and seeing as it’s a 4×4 I couldn’t think of a better place than the highlands to take this car out on a test drive.  The Q7 is fairly priced and very spacious inside and for a 3.0 diesel engine it drives effortlessly.   Inside you get lovely leather seats and an excellent sound system.

2 –BMW X5

The BMW X5 is priced at around £45k.  It is an excellent family 7 seater, which looks great and has the power.  The X5 comes with BMW’s iDrive system.  Drive quality wise you’re getting a car which is after all a BMW and they really know how to make a car an enjoyable drive.  The 4.8 litre petrol will give you crazy speeds of a 140 mph! This is a solid car and it feels safe to drive in.

1– Hummer H2 Luxury

If you’re looking for a Luxury 7 seater with ample space and a bit of eccentricity, then the Hummer H2 is the one to go for.  For around £40k you can pick one of these giants up, with full leather interior and loads of gadgets, such as a drop down screen for the rear passangers, slide out screens for the front passangers, it’s also a 4×4 if you want to go off on to the beaten track.
