COMEDK 2016 Result will be released on 28 May


COMEDK 2016 Result will be declared on 28 May 2016 by COMEDK (Consortium of Medical, Engineering, and Dental Colleges of Karnataka). The respective exam was successfully conducted on 8 May 2016 to offer admission to interested and eligible candidates in B. Tech UG course for session 2016-20. Candidates, who appeared in the exam, will not be made available the result on their registered postal address instead they have to check it online on the official website of the consortium. The scorecard part of the COMEDK 2016 Result will be issued on the aforesaid date however the ranking will be published in the 1st week of June 2016. Candidates are suggested to keep in touch with the official website to know the detailed schedule and corresponding dates for rank declaration, counselling, and seat allotment. Admission in the participating engineering institutes of the state will be done on the basis of merit which will be decided as per marks and rank. Higher score translates to lower ranking in the respective COMEDK Merit List. Candidates will be called for counselling on the basis of their rank.

Here is the method of checking the result in online mode on the official website of the consortium:

  • Open the official website of COMEDK 2016 to begin with the process.
  • Login into the account by entering application number and date of birth.
  • Check the details and press submit button. You are now logged in.
  • Find and click the link titled as “Result of COMEDK UGET 2016”.
  • Now, the result will be displayed on the screen. View the details.
  • Press print command to generate printout of the result. Keep it safe.

To qualify the exam and get eligible for the next round of admission process, candidates from general category must score at least 50% aggregate marks in the COMEDK 2016 Result. This aggregate percentage is 40% for the candidates from reserved categories. It may happen that two or more candidates score equal marks in the exam, in this case, merit for rank will be decided on the following factor:

  • Least number of negative answers in i) Physics, ii) Mathematics and iii) Chemistry.
  • If tie exists, aggregate marks in Math and Physics will be considered.
  • If tie exists even now, marks in Math will be considered.
  • If the tie is still not resolved, age of the candidate will be checked. Elder candidate gets preferred.

It is necessary to produce printout of COMEDK 2016 Result and rank card at the counselling venue where documents will be verified. These documents will be verified by the counselling official for authentication purpose.
