The one of the leading manufacturer of the automobiles in the Indian auto market Tata Motors is going to launch a new Indigo manza which is a compact version of Manza (similar to Indigo CS). The ‘Indigo’ tittle will likely to be removed from the new Manza and earlies the name of the car has been speculated as Tata Indigo Manza CS, but after implementing the strategy of removing the tittle, the car could be just named as Tata Manza Elan. Manza Elan to be priced starting from Rs. 4.7 lakh for the basic variant. It has been known through sources that Tata Motors decreasing the length of the car by 4 meters in length. The original Tata Manza measures 4413 mm x 1703 mm x 1550 mm (length x width x height) and to reduce the length of the car, the 460-litre boot has to be compressed. It is amazing to known that after chopping off 413 mm from the original Manza’s length, the boot space is still capable to accommodate a whole family’s luggage. According to the sources the company’s R and D team will be focus on the looks of the car making no changes in engine, transmission or other parts of the Manza Elan. The car is equipped with 1368cc Saffire90 petrol engine and 1248 cc Quadrajet 90 diesel engine that both produce 90 PS of power. As per expectations, if these engines are used in Manza Elan, the power ratio and fuel efficiency will touch the standards. The sedan segment is showing a high competition. As, the new Toyota Etios, whose booking has crossed 12000 in just 15 days of the launch in December 2010, that too in petrol version, has been proved a blast for the rival car makers including Tata Motors and Maruti Suzuki. The Tata Indigo Manza is a complete package and a perfect ‘value for money’ car in the sedan segment. But the segment leader is still the same Maruti Swift Dzire. It is expected that the Tata Manza Elan’s launch may likely to be happen within a few months.New cars to look forward to this year include Audi A8, Volvo S60, Nissan Sunny, Maruti Cervo, Hyundai Avante, Toyota Etios Liva and Honda Brio.
